Mr. Loren Frick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee Temple University, as well as his Master of Education degree in Special Education with a concentration in Deaf Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He earned the title of Magna Cum Laude, as well as the Professional Promise Graduate Student Award. Also, he is profoundly deaf.
While he was a graduate student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he worked as a full time staff in the student living department at the Tennessee School for the Deaf (TSD). During his fourth year at TSD, he was promoted to assistant supervisor for the middle school boys' cottage, and then eventually for a high school boys' cottage.
During the 2010-2011 school year, he was the Teacher of the Year at Georgia School for the Deaf. He has taught second through fifth grade for six years. Currently, he is in his eighth year as the Middle School Mathematics teacher.
He is happily married to Mrs. Jessica Frick, who is also deaf. Loren and Jessica have a 3-year old son, Myles, and a newborn baby girl, Paige.They love their church. When they have free time, they love to travel and explore new places
He loves to see his students faces light up when they learn new academic concepts in the classroom. He strongly believes that every deaf student can learn and achieve their goals in life. Oh yes, Deaf CAN!
